Shanell Monique Mosley is now faced with posting $275,000 in bail money in order to get out of prison. The judged ordered the $275,000 bail this morning in the abandonment case. The woman is accused of abandoning her children and fleeing to Nigeria to marry a man she had never met.
Shanell Monique Mosley is only 33 years old and she has been charged with child endangerment and abandonment. According to reports she just left her six kids at home and jumped on a plane to go marry this man. Her kids were left in a roach infested home and the condition the children were in was apparently not very good.
The defense attorney Emily DeToto told the court that Shanell Monique Mosley had expected her sister to come and watch after the kids while she was gone. She stated the she felt betrayed because her sister never came because it was to expensive. This is a very sad story and I hope they can get all the details ironed out. It is hard to believe this woman would have just left her kids without having someone else there first before she left to look after them.
