Fed Rate Cut Announcement Today. The Federal Reserve cut a key interest rate this afternoon by half a percentage point in attempt of fending off a recession.
The Fed Rate Cut announcement came this afternoon and the interest rate now sits at 3%. This is the lowest it has been since 2005 and is the fifth rate cut since August. The good news is the stock market rallied today because of the news.
The Fed Rate Cut announcement is yet another attempt to stimulate our economy. Just last week the Federal Reserve cut interest rates by 3/4 of a point. That is the largest decline it has seen since 1982. We will just have to wait and see if this does anything to help stimulate the economy. The stock market rally is a good sign. I hope people are starting to see that the government is really trying to do a lot here to helping out the slumping economy. If we hear any more breaking news regarding the rate cut we will provide an update.
