Oliver Reed Gladiator Death? The actor Oliver Reed had a heart attack during the filming of the movie Gladiator back in 2000. Since the film was not yet finished, director Ridley Scott had to come up with a way to finish the film without losing everything that had already been completed.

With the Oliver Reed Gladiator death the director of the movie came up with a pretty cool idea in order get the film finished. He used a body look a like and then when it and used computer graphics to put Oliver Reed’s face on the body double.

The reason the Oliver Reed Gladiator death is big news today is because of the recent death of Heath Ledger. He was currently working on two different films. The Batman film had finished filming and is set to release fairly soon. The other film was in the filming stage and the director may have to use some of Ridley Scott’s methods to finish the film. If not they may have to re-film a good portion of the movie. It is always sad to see when someone dies especially someone that was such a great movie actor.
