Dan Hesse Sprint CEO? The mobile network operator has hired a new president and CEO to help run the company. He takes the place of former CEO Gary Forsee.
Dan Hesse Sprint CEO was working as the CEO, President, and chairman of a company called Embarq. The company was formed after the merger of Sprint and Nextel and was a local telecommunications company.
The nice thing about naming Dan Hesse Sprint CEO is that he is already familiar with the company somewhat and the members of the board already know him and his work ethic. One interesting move that they have made is that Hesse will not be the chairman of the board of directors, although he has been placed on the board.
Sprint Nextel is the third largest mobile phone network in the country behind AT&T and Verizon. They have roughly 54 million subscribers and they desperately need a new direction in order to compete better the there main competitors.
