Healthytoys.org is The Consumer Action Guide to Toxic Chemicals in Toys website. It is available to the public and it shows how common toys that are purchased for children rank as far as how much they contain lead, cadmium, arsenic, and many other harmful chemicals.
Healthytoys.org comes just in time for the holiday season. It will be an excellent resource for parents with little children that plan on buying toys for them for Christmas. It is also surprising to see some of the toys they have on the list that have excessive lead level. Some of toys include a Go Diego Go! backpack and a Hannah Montana card game case. They claim that only 20 percent of the toys they tested had no lead at all.
Many that helped create Healthytoys.org hope that it will be a excellent source of information for parents. They claim that not much information has been available to parents on toy safety except for toy recall lists that have been floating around. They hope this helps to change that and will help get parents in the know when it comes to they children’s safety. We will continue to follow this story and provide any breaking news updates that come out.
