Don Imus on Imus In The Morning? That’s right the radio show host has returned to the air waves after he was fired almost 8 months ago.
Don Imus was fired for making some racial and sexually disparaging remarks about women’s basketball team from Rutgers. He signed a 5 year deal with a new network WABC-AM which will be his new home for Imus In The Morning. He also has brought on two new people to his show that should greatly help to reduce any tension that still remains from the incident. The two newcomers are a black man, Tony Powell, and a black women, Karith Foster. This seems to be an excellent move on his part, although both of them are comedians so it will be interesting to see what kind of role they play in the show.
Don Imus and Imus In The Morning is not going to change how the originally show was. This is according to Don Imus himself you stated in his opening remarks that he nor anyone else on his show will say anything else that is considered racial. He claims that he feels it will take him 5 years to mend what he did and he hopes that he can do that. If we hear any breaking news regarding this story we will provide an update.
