Wayne Newton Johnny Carson Feud? Apparently there was an ongoing feud between both of these big time entertainers.
Wayne Newton Johnny Carson feud began because Johnny Carson used to always make jokes about Wayne Newton’s masculinity. The great entertainer has been quoted as saying that Johnny Carson was a “mean spirited human being.”
Wayne Newton made these remarks on the Thursday night airing with Larry King. The Wayne Newton Larry King interview was very interesting he told Larry King that he had a really hard time when Johnny Carson made fun of him.
The Wayne Newton Johnny Carson Feud was upsetting to Wayne because he had been on Johnny’s show many times and felt him to be a friend. The jokes were likely just a ploy to gain raining on his show, but none the less they were offensive. Johnny Carson is not here to defend himself though as he passed away. I remember hearing Wayne Newton talk about this a few years back. You have to remember at the time Wayne Newton was much younger, thinner, baby faced and had a voiced that sounded a lot like k.d. lang. As Newton stop being a child phenom and became a man he still retained that same prepubescent voice. Johnny and others were not kind.
