Jeff Bower Fired? The University of Southern Mississippi was fired today as was reported by the local newspaper. Jeff Bower has been coaching at the school for the last 17 seasons.
The Jeff Bower fired news comes as a big surprise to many. He had let the Southern Miss football team to 14 straight winning seasons. The school would not confirm the news that their football coach had been fired.
The Jeff Bower fired news is a little premature as the season has not yet been concluded. The Southern Miss Golden Eagles won their most recent game on Saturday taking the season record to 7-5. They also were invited to play in the Papajohns.com Bowl. The bowl game will be played on December 22 and it is not yet clear whether Jeff Bower will be the coach of the game.
