Chan Gailey Fired today after a disappointing season for the Georgia Tech Football. Saturday marked the sixth straight year that Georgia Tech has lost to their rivals at Georgia.
The news of Chan Gailey fired came at a press conference called upon by the Georgia Tech athletic director. Dan Radakovich discussed the direction of the program and the need for a new head coach. He stated that the fans were becoming restless with the current head coach and that big money boosters were not happy either.
With Chan Gailey being fired his future as a football coach is unclear and so is the coaching situation at Georgia Tech. The athletic program is hurting for funds and may not have the cash to bring in a new high paying coach. One this is for sure though, Chan Gailey will no longer be there as head coach.
