Nissan Recall

Nissan Recall

Nissan Recall includes more than 650,000 vehicles.  These include 2002, 2005, and 2006 Nissan Altima and Nissan Sentra cars.  The cars that are being recalled are all the ones that fall into those categories and also have the 2.5 four cylinder engines.

Nissan Recall was put in place after the discovery of a faulty engine part.  The part is the engine crankshaft position sensor.  This part can overheat which will cause it to stop sending the signal that it does.  When this happens it can cause the cars to stall when driving at low speeds.

The Nissan Recall was done voluntarily by Nissan.  They hope to prevent accidents that can be caused by the problem with this part.   Anyone that owns one of these vehicles can take there car to any Nissan Dealership.  The dealership will reprogram the bad part free of charge.  If we hear any more breaking news regarding the Nissan Recall we will provide an update.

Brandon - I am having the same issue with my 2002 Altima. Burning oil, head gasket, and engine failure. Talked to a service manager at Nissan in Concord, NC, and he said this is a huge issue, but no recall has been done. I have a 1-800 number I am gonna call tomorrow for claims. Did you get your issue resolved? I was told to trade mine ASAP.

2002 nissan altima is a nightmare. How many recalls does it actually take for nissan to admit they built a piece of crap and should be liable for it. My car is officially dead! 85,000 miles. bye bye!
