Semitic Deity could also be referred to as a supernatural being that is worshipped. This being is worshipped as controlling some part of the world or possibly some aspect of life.
In the 19th century there was a lot of anti Semitic Deity or anti-Semitism, as some called it, towards the Jews. If you study any kind of Middle East language you are likely to come across these type of terms being used.
