Cristina Mallon Resigns? Cristina Mallon is a cheerleading coach and English teacher at Williams Field High School in Gilbert, Arizona.
Cristina Mallon has been feeling the pressure after a course of events occured. At the beginning of the year parents complained about a Myspace page the Gilbert teacher had. Parents also had complained about a book the English teacher had chosen for there children to read. The event that made Cristina Mallon reach her limit was a Youtube video that surfaced of her performing a cheerleader routine in front of her class. The famous Youtube video has caused her to put in her letter of resignation.
The school board for the Higley Unified School District will decide the fate of Cristina Mallon on Wednesday night. If board members accept her resignation letter her last day with the school district will be December 31. She has apparently been assigned to other duties and is not being allowed to teach her English class or coach the cheerleaders.
