Marvin Hamlisch is known as a child prodigy. He is an American composer from New York City. He was born in 1944 and gained fame as a youngster by mimicking music he heard on the radio by playing it on the piano.
Marvin Hamlisch was accepted in the famous Juilliard School at the age of 6 years old. He never became a concert pianist because of problems involving anxiety but he has become a very famous composition pianist.
Marvin Hamlisch has won many Grammy awards during his career and is expected to be inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame this year. The awards this guy has won are amazing. He has won a Pulitzer Prize, Emmy Award, Grammy Award, Tony Award, and an Oscar Award. He is one of two people that have ever won all those awards.
