FreeRice Word Game donates free rice for playing the game. The game is a word game that test’s each contestant’s vocabulary. For each correct answer the website donates 10 grains of rice.
FreeRice has already raised 1 billion grains of rice by people playing their word game. Advertisers on the website are the ones that provide the money to the WFP to purchase the rice and provide it to those people who need it. The amount of rice the Free Rice website has already raised is enough to feed 50,000 people for 1 day.
