Troy Williamson paycheck? The Minnesota Vikings have denied Troy Williamson his paycheck for this last Sunday’s football game.
Troy Williamson went home to South Carolina to attend his grandmother’s funeral. He apparently was responsible for making many of the funeral arrangements and his grandmother that passed away was also responsible for helping raise him. Troy Williamson had this to say about the event “I don’t care if they would have taken my pay for the rest of the year, I was going home. It wouldn’t have mattered to me.”
The Minnesota Vikings denied Troy Williamson from receiving $25,588 for missing the football game. His annual salary is $435,000. Sources close to the situation say that he plans to appeal the paycheck withholding based on the situation. I mean who wouldn’t have gone home to their grandmother’s funeral. He should not be penalized for doing something that is right. He had an obligation to his father to be there and he was there.
