Aqua Dots Recall

Aqua Dots Recall has now hit the United States. Manufacturer Spin Master has requested that all stores carrying the Aqua Dots to remove them from their shelves. This comes after Moose Enterprises issued a recall to its products located in Australia.
The Aqua Dots Recall comes amid many other toy recalls in recent months. It seems to be a fast growing trend that toys are found to not be safe for some reason or another. Aqua Dots beads are dangerous when they are swallowed. There is evidence showing that in show cases if the beads are swallowed which can cause a chemical in the beads to metabolize. When this happens it turns into gamma-hudroybutyric acid (GHB). This is also known as Liquid Ecstasy.
Aqua Dots Recall is going to affect retailers such as Toys R Us, who carry the product. Some of the test the company has run has showed that some batches of the toys were not manufactured using the approved formula. Surely further testing an analysis will be done to determine if these toys can be proven to be safe and be allowed to be sold on store shelves again.
