Lakshmi Tatama operation is to take place today for the girl with 8 limbs.  Lakshmi Tatma is a little Indian girl that was born with four arms and four legs. 

Lakshmi Tatama, or as most have referred to her as the girl with 8 limbs, is going to undergoing an extreme surgery that will be starting today.  The surgery is expected to last an amazing 40 hours and is an attempt to save the little girls life. 

Lakshmi Tatama suffers from a rare condition called isciopagus.  Because of the condition the little girl is not able to walk or crawl around.  The 2 year old girl is being worked on by 30 different surgeons in the estimated 40 hour long surgery.  Doctors have stated that if the little girl does not under go the surgery that she likely will not live to see her teenage years. 

Lakshmi Tatama’s parents have been rejected by numerous hospitals that they have asked to attempt the surgery.  Her parents only make around $1 a day for the work they do.  The surgery is expected to cost around $225,000.  It is awesome to see that there was not only 1 doctor that stepped up to the plate to complete this surgery but 30.  This surgery is likely to save the little girls life and her parents will forever be grateful for there actions.  We will provide a news update after the surgery for the girl with 8 limbs is completed.
