Amarillo Starlight Diamond

Amarillo Starlight Diamond is the largest diamond ever uncovered at Crater Diamonds State Park. It was measured to be 16.37-carat in size and was found back in 1975.
The Amarillo Starlight is brought back to memory because of a large diamond that was found in the park recently. Chad Johnson recently found a 4.38 carat diamond in the park. He has found more than 80 diamonds in the park. The crazy thing is that he nearly threw the diamond out not discovering it when he first found it. He completed the dig on Saturday of last week and did not find the diamond in with his equipment until Monday of this week.
The Amarillo Starlight Diamond is huge measuring in at 16.37 carats. I can’t even imagine what that looks like, it has to be so huge. I thought a 2 carat diamond was huge, just multiply that by 8 times and you have a 16 carat. In 1962 there was a 34.25 carat diamond found, it is one of the largest ever found in the whole world.
