News Anchor Suicide in Sydney, Australia. Charmaine Dragun jumped to her death last Friday at a location called “The Gap.” This area is very well known for being a popular suicide location. It can be found in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney.
The News Anchor suicide comes as a great shock to so many people. Charmaine Dragun worked for Channel 10 as a newsreader in Australia. She was only 29 years old and had all the talent in the world. She had a loving family and was in a long term relationship with her significant other. She was also on her way up as a news anchor on prime time television.
News Anchor suicide apparently took place only hours before she was to appear on the 5 o’clock news. Authorities do not believe that her death involved any kind of foul play. It was reported that there were many witnesses that saw her climbing up on the cliffs. If this indeed is true that no foul play is involved, this is a really sad story. It seems like she had everything to live for. She is survived by her partner that she has been with for 8 years. She also will be missed a lot by her family and friends.
