Dell Equallogic announce a $1.4 billion deal making it the biggest acquisition the company has ever made. Equallogic is has created a business around storage area network solutions.
The Dell Equallogic deal was made in hopes of allowing Dell to provide more services to their information technology clients. The storage sector happens to be Dell’s fastest growing section of their business.
With the growing demand of needs for storage the Dell Equallogic deal is going to put Dell in the position it wants to be in. They claim that their customers are going to be dealing with the largest increase in data that there has ever been. More and more companies are looking for options to store that data in a safe location.
