Olympic Marathon Trials are scheduled to take place Today This morning. The top three finishers of the race will qualify to go the 2008 Olympics located in Beijing. In order to do so they do have to run under the qualifying time max of 2:15.

Olympic Marathon Trials will be located in New York and will be run in Central Park. This will be the first time that the New York Marathon has hosted the Olympic trials.

The winner of the Olympic Marathon Trials is expected to receive a whopping $60,000. Second place and third place will receive $40,000 and $30,000 respectively. The three runners that qualify to go to the Olympics will also receive an additional $20,000 for starting at the Beijing Olympic marathon.
