Deborah Santana Carlos Santana Divorcing

Deborah Santana and Carlos Santana are getting a divorce after 34 years of being married.  That is an awfully long time to be married for a couple in the music business.  It is very impressive that they have maintained their marriage this long and it will be very sad to see it end in divorce. 

Deborah Santana is the mother of three children with Carlos Santana.  There ages are 17, 22, and 23 so they are old enough that this might not have too much of an effect on them, but it can always be very difficult when your parents divorce. 

It is not clear what caused Deborah Santana to file for divorce, but it is evident that she is the one instigating the matter.  She is the one that filed the divorce papers in Marin County Superior Court.  Carlos Santana apparently made some kind of mistake and she probably will not forgive him for it.  Carlos had this to say after the book his wife published was released. “I’m a human being like everyone else and I have a lot of humility for my mistakes.  I sincerely apologized to her and to my kids when i wasn’t in my right mind and did something hurtful.  It has helped me become more humble and to try harder to be the man she wants me to be.”  It sounds like to me he may have cheated on her. 

Carlos Santana’s public relations manager Michael Jensen said the couple does not having anything to say about the matter as it is a private issue.  It is likely the media will find out something eventually.  We will update you with the news once more information is available.
