Samhain Pagan festivals are going on today. Samhain is celebrated on October 31 by Wiccans in Winnipeg. The word Samhain means summer’s end and is a type of celebration they use that has to do with their harvest and getting prepared for winter.
Samhain is practiced by Wiccans. Wiccans are practitioners of a nepagan religion. The religion is based in nature and ancient traditions.
Samhain will be celebrated tonight by those that practice the belief. They will gather in people’s homes and will offer food and warmth to their loved ones who have died. It is one of eight events that Wiccans celebrate each year and it just happens to fall on Halloween. I know I had not heard of this before so I learned something new today.
