Monster Mash is one of the best Halloween songs of all time. It is a song that gets you excited for the holiday. The mad scientist sings about his monster whom rises up from the table one evening to do a new dance. The song has sweet sound effects and really is not as scary as it may sound. I would go as far as saying that almost everyone has probably heard this song at some point because it has been around since 1962.

Monster Mash is generally a big hit at Halloween parties and I know they play on the radio all day on Halloween. It was created by Bobby Pickett and Lenny Capizzi who performed in the band called “The cordials.” They consider the Monster Mash to be a novelty song and I think it is a very clever and catchy song at that. I’m sure they never thought it would be this big back when they created it all those years ago.

Monster Mash brings Halloween to life and would not be as much fun with out it.
