Wendy O. Williams and Hayden Panettiere, what do they have in common? Hayden Panettire has just been cast to play role of Wendy O. Williams in an upcoming movie.
Wendy O. Williams was a punk singer for the bank the Plasmatics. She was often called “The Queen of Shock Rock,” for her onstage antics and crazy costumes.
Williams committed suicide in 1998 in an area near her home at the age of 48. The upcoming film is going to give an inside look into her life and the bands life. Hayden Panettire is an interesting choice to play the part for the movie. She does resemble Wendy O. Williams so maybe that’s why they wanted her to play the part. It will be interesting to see how this plays out and if this film gains a following and popularity.
