San Diego air quality is currently at very dangerous levels. Former marine and Austintown native had this to say about the San Diego air quality. “The air quality is horrible; you can’t get fresh air anywhere and it’s almost 100 degrees. You can even smell the smoke in downtown San Diego. It looks like LA smog, and we normally don’t have that.”
The San Diego air quality is really bad as you can see. With the amount of fires and smoke in that area it is not at all surprising that the air quality is so bad. People are saying that the San Diego air quality will continue to be bad and will take a while for it to all clear out. If you watch any of the coverage on the news they often will show pictures from NASA satellites that show the heavy amounts of smoke that are blowing out over the ocean. It also does not help that the winds continue to blow at high speeds. That has been one of the major reasons why the fires got so bad and it definitely does not help with the smoke.
San Diego air quality may take a while to improve. Some officials say that it may take several days or even weeks for the smoke to clear out. It is crazy how bad the fires have gotten. It was reported yesterday that the estimated damage sits at well over $1 billion. I am sure it has been very difficult for people that live in the area to go about their daily lives. We will update you with any breaking news involving the fires.
