Phenomenon Debut On NBC Starring Uri Gellar
Filed Under Celebrities, TV Shows |
Phenomenon debut is tonight on NBC. The show is searching for “the next great mentalist.” The show will be hosted by Uri Gellar and Criss Angel. Phenomenon will feature ten new guests every week the will show off their skills and talents in front of the show’s judges. A winner will be selected by the viewers of the show with a voting system. The voting system will be very similar to what the popular American Idol used.
Phenomenon is basically a show about magicians. However, NBC is trying to not use the word magician at all in the shows description. It has gone as far as saying that the contestants on Phenomenon are called illusionists, mentalists, and paranormalists. Just look at what NBC is using “the next great mentalist” is the tag line for the show.
Will Phenomenon be successful? Will viewers tune into the show? It is really hard to say at this point, I think some viewers will be drawn into the mysterious conception most people have about this type of stuff. Especially when you ad the controversial Uri Gellar into the mix. Only time will tell how well this show does. It does have one thing going for them and that is the viewer voting system. America just gobbles that stuff right up and Phenomenon is banking and that hope. We will update you on any news from the debut episode.
