Paciolan Rockies Tickets Provider
Filed Under Sports News, U.S. News |
Paciolan Rockies tickets provider had some major issues today at the release of the Colorado Rockies World Series tickets for sale to the general public. Paciolan is technology provider that was running the Rockies online ticketing service.
Paciolan is a very big player in the event ticket marketplace. It competes against major players such as Tickets.com and Ticketmaster. Paciolan claims on their website that they sold over 120 million tickets last year which is an astounding number. That is roughly 1/4 of the ticket sales marketplace. Paciolan has partnered with the likes of Microsoft, IBM, and Cisco to name a few. They are by no means a small company as you can see. They have handled ticket sales for teams such the Arizona Diamondbacks, Philadelphia Phillies, and the San Diego Padres.
Paciolan has not released any information to the public at this point in time. If they do we will update you with the news of any information they provide as to the ticket service failure. It is crazy to think that a huge company could have their ticket service brought down by something like this. My guess is that it will have something to do with a program error and nothing at all to do with the amount of traffic the ticketing service received in such a short period of time.

Yeah that sucked because I was trying to get tickets at 10 a.m. sharp and spent about an hour trying until they released a statement. Maybe I’ll have a chance later.
