9News Reports Colorado Rockies World Series Ticket Sales Suspended

9News reports that Colorado Rockies World Series tickets sales suspended. Jay Alves held a press conference not long ago stating that they have a computer system error and that most of the World Series tickets are still available. He stated that only a few hundred tickets sold of all the tickets that were available for sale to the general public.
9News reports that in the press conference Jay Alves said that the website where the tickets were being sold from received 8.5 million page hits in the first 90 minutes the tickets were available. Most likely this caused the servers to crash that were running the tickets sales page. When hosting servers go beyond there capacity it general causes them to crash. If the server did not crash then the program that handles the actual ticket purchases must have crashed. The company that handles the program the runs the tickets sales said they have had some kind of error that they have not been able to identify yet, but are working hard to get it figured out. Jay Alves said that they expect the system to be back up and running soon but did not give a time frame for the return.
9News has received a ton of emails from fans complaining about not being able to buy Colorado Rockies World Series tickets. They did receive a few emails saying that they were able to get tickets just fine. The awesome thing about all of this is that the craze over the Colorado Rockies going to the World Series is so huge. I have not decided whether it is because this is the first time the Rockies have been to the World Series or whether it’s because of the amazing run they are on. With 16 games left to go in the regular season there would have been very few people that would have that would have said the Rockies would make the playoffs. They proved everyone wrong and look where they are now. They have not even lost a game in the post season. That is incredible and extremely fun to watch.
