Max McGee Dies In Tragic Accident
Filed Under Sports Stars In The News |
Max McGee died in a tragic accident at his home on Saturday afternoon. Max McGee was up on his roof blowing leaves off when he slipped and fell off the roof to his death. When emergency crews arrived at his home he was unconscious. They performed CPR on him but were not able to revive him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Max McGee was 75 years old and probably should not have been up on his roof blowing leaves. That seems like a very dangerous activity for someone of that age. Max McGee is famous for his football career he played with the Green Bay Packers. He was a backup wide receiver in the year the first ever Super Bowl was played. He scored the first touch down in Super Bowl history back in January of 1967. It was a pass from quarterback Bart Starr that went for 37 yards. Max McGee finished Super Bowl I with 138 yards receiving on 7 catches and 2 touchdowns as the Packers won the first ever Super Bowl.
Max McGee left behind his wife and his four children. It is always sad to see people pass away when it does not seem like their time to go. Max McGee will always be remembered though as he is in the history books and I am certain his children with share his life with others.
