Bobby Jindal Elected Governor Of Louisiana

Bobby Jindal has recently been elected governor of Louisiana. Bobby Jindal is an Indian-American and is only 36 years old. His political career resume is already full of accomplishments. He started at the age of 24 when the Louisiana governor of that time period recruited Bobby Jindal to overhaul the state’s Health and Hospitals Department. He also did great things with Louisiana’s University system that has over 80,000 students. In 2001 he went to Washington and took over a top position in the Health and Human Services Department.
Bobby Jindal ran for governer of Lousiana in 2003 but fell short although he was first in the polls in the primary. In 2004 Bobby Jindal moved to the Senate as he won the House seat for the state of Louisiana. He was the first Indian-American elected to Congress since the 1960’s.
Bobby Jindal will be the very first Indian-American governor in the history of the United States. This election should bring some diversity to government.
