Jeffrey Jordan is the son of famous basketball player Michael Jordan. Jeffrey Jordan is a freshman at the University of Illinois this year. He is attempting to follow in his father’s footsteps, but in his own way.
Jeffrey Jordan received an academic scholarship to attend the University of Illinois. After he arrived at school coach Wayne McClain called him up and ask if he wanted to play for the basketball team. Jeffrey Jordan replied “All right.” So he is now a preferred walk-on to the Fighting Illini basketball team. This honestly surprises me as I assumed he would have been heavily recruited out of high school.
Jeffrey Jordan really liking the team so far. In an interview he talked about how the team was really gelling together and how he really likes everything. He has very big shoes to fill in following in his father’s footsteps. It will be very exciting to see how much he plays this year and how well he does.
