Staph Superbug MRSA Infection

The Staph Superbug is a drug resistant for of staph infection also called a MRSA infection. The scary thing is that this Staph Superbug is growing and increasing so fast that it has been said it may cause more deaths HIV currently does. Some doctors have found a staph superbug that is resistent to all approved government antibiotics, 18 in total. This staph superbug is linked to pediatric ear infections.
Another form of a staph superbug that they have recently estimated that 90,000 people will become infected each year is called an MRSA infection. The MRSA infection stands for methicillin-resistant staph aureus. The MRSA infection takes over the bloodstream and can be deadly.
The staph superbug by the name of Streptococcus pneunomiae has just recently been identified by doctors. There are some related strains of the Streptococcus pneunomiae that doctors were already of that a vaccine does exist for. However this new staph superbug is resistant to the current known vaccine. This is an extremely scary thought, that there is staph superbug’s out there that can not be treated. This may cause people to never leave their homes in fear of catching something that may become deadly.
Dr. Roy T. Steigbigel from the Stony Brook University Medical Center has recently stated “Any long-term antibiotic use will lead to the natural selection of resistant organisms.” When people take antibiotic and misuse it destroys weak bugs and created superbugs that have learned and can have some very deadly tricks.
The staph superbug called the MRSA infection is now invasive in 32 of every 100,000 people, researchers at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention have said.
The staph superbug and MRSA infection are very scary things. I would strongly recommend staying on top of news releases related to this stuff.
