Steve Pederson Nebraska Athletic Director Fired
Filed Under Sports News |
Steve Pederson was the Nebraska Athletic Director until Monday when he was fired. The school announced that Steve Pederson had been fired after a very poor weekend on the football field. The Nebraska Cornhuskers lost to Oklahoma State 45-14, which was the worst loss Nebraska has suffered on there home field since 1958.
The headlines “Nebraska Athletic Director Fired” are popping up all over the place after the school announced the news. This comes after there has been a lot of pointing fingers and disagreement in the direction the Nebraska football program was headed. School chancellor Harvey Perlman was the representative from the school that made the announcement.
Personally I think that school’s can be way to critical of those coaching staff and sports administration. I don’t understand why it never crosses there mind that it really is possible for a team to have a bad season. Maybe they are in a rebuilding year after a lot of seniors graduate or maybe other teams are just better in any given year. It does not seem fair that Steve Pederson was fired from Nebraska.
It was not clear whether the school had found a replacement at this point, but I would expect one to be appointed very soon.
