Charles Riechers Suicide

Charles Riechers Suicide?  Yes that is the news that officials are stating at this time.  Charles Riechers is the second highest ranking member of the procurement office for the Air Force.  He was found dead at his home Sunday in Virginia.  It appears that all sign point to suicide at this point but further investigation should take place.

Charles Riechers was under scrutiny by the Senate Armed Services Committee at the beginning of the month.  Charles Riechers was receiving payments of $13,400 a month by Commonwealth Research Institute.  These payments were setup by the Air Force for Charles Riechers to receive while he was being reviewed by the White House for his new appointment.  He was appointment in January as the principal deputy assistant secretary for acquisition.  It had been reported that Riechers had received payments from the Commonwealth Research Institute for being a Senior Technical Adviser.  What brought this situation under scrutiny was the fact the he did not even work for that company.

Charles Riechers was a retired Air Force officer that provided advice on technical issues related to programs the Air Force is running.  These programs include converting commercial aircraft to military use and helping to modernize the Air Force’s aging fleet.

It is not clear whether Charles Riechers Suicide is related to the investigation into the payments he received.  It does not appear there was any foul play involved at this point but you never know these days.  The police and officials might know more than they are letting on due to the position Riechers held.

One Response to “Charles Riechers Suicide”

This does not look kosher. It is reminiscent of the “suicide” of David Kelly, the UK bioweapons expert who died unexpectedly shortly after the onset of the Iraq war. He was happy and enjoying what had been a long and productive life with his loving wife; he not only had no reason to commit suicide but the circumstances of his “suicide” appeared most bizarre, with numerous unanswered questions. The UK press, in its usual deference to the powers-that-be, instantly called it a “suicide”, in contradiction to the facts, and before any postmortem examination.

Riechers was involved with military procurement at the Pentagon; he might have, by chance found out a little more than what his employers were comfortable with. In a world of arbitrary secrecy and compartmentalization of information (which is used more to shield corrupt activity of officials from public scrutiny than real national security purposes), people will stop at nothing; if someone of (relative) honesty and integrity who might blow the whistle becomes privy to evidence of crimes by powerful people, one solution is to kill him. This kind of thing happens all the time. No wild conspiracy theorizing is required; this is the way things work in those circles. The military/security network is riddled with thugs and psychopaths who wouldn’t even blink an eyelid at the notion of offing someone who might not be 100% trustworthy to the power structure, for example, for possessing information that could be problematic if publicized.

Riechers, being the second highest ranking member of the Air Force’s procurement office could easily have found some incriminating relating to the missing $2.3 Billion of missing funds and contracts that (former) defense secretary Rumsfeld announced in front of Congress on September 10, 2001. The next day, evidence of the largest fraud in US history was, of course, instantly forgotten and ignored by the media. Oh…. How….. Convenient.

Who knows? Riechers might have found out about other “stuff” relating to the 9/11 attacks. There would be a motivation for the goons to silence him, permanently., for that is their way.
