What’s up with Hannah Montana tickets?  That is the question that is blowing through the ticket sales world.  Hannah Montana is the teen pop star that recently sold out all the tickets for her upcoming concert tour within hours of there release to the public.  You might be think wow she must be really popular, right?  Well you are right she has a huge following from those that watch her hit show on the Disney Channel.  That is not issue with the Hannah Montana tickets, we know her concert tickets were in high demand.  The problem lies in who bought a lot of those tickets and where are they now?

A very large amount of Hannah Montana tickets have now resurfaced on the secondary ticket market with a lot higher price tag.  It appears that so called scalpers used software programs to buy a large amount of the tickets when they were released for sale.  These tickets are being flipped for a profit and being resold to those fans that wanted them in the first place for the original ticket price. 

Ticketmaster plans to seek a preliminary injunction in a Federal District Court against RMG Technologies, a software provider.  They believe RMG Technologies software enabled ticket scalpers to have an unfair advantage when buying tickets and allowing them to continually jump to the front of the virtual ticket line. 

The Attorney General of Missouri Jay Nixon stated that the state of Missouri is suing three ticket resellers on state consumer protection law violations.  Attorney General’s from Pennsylvania and Arkansas are also investigating resellers in their respective states. 

Will the Hannah Montana tickets issue get resolved before her tour starts in St. Louis on October 18?  This has yet to be determined, but it will be interesting to see what comes of all this.  This is a hot topic in the entertainment news industry.  For those of you that don’t know Hannah Montana is pop star character played by Miley Cyrus on the hit show Hannah Montana that airs on the Disney channel.
