Kanunari Saito suicide website creator arrested? The police department in Tokyo, Japan have arrested the creator of a website that teaches people how to commit suicide. Kanunari Saito allegedly assisted in the death of Sayaka Nishizawa by giving her sleeping pills and suffocating her.
According to news reports Sayaka Nishizawa paid Saito $1700 to help her die. It has not yet been determined why she was trying to kill herself as police are still investigating.
This is a tragic story that brings up a debate on whether assisted suicide is acceptable. Many people remember Dr. Kevorkian who just recently got out of prison for helping others with assisted suicide. I suppose Saito was someone following in his foot steps.
