Madonna Constantine Hate Crime Investigation
Filed Under U.S. News |
The NYPD is investigating a possible Madonna Constantine hate crime. A noose was hung on the door of this Columbia University professor who is black. The police are moving forward with the instigation as a hate crime at this time because there is not any evidence to make them believe otherwise. Authorities are considering two possibilities at this point as to who placed the noose there. The first is that a student that maybe was not happy about a grade or did not like the professor placed it there. The second would be a co-worker of Madonna Constantine, but it was not clear if there was any evidence that would leave authorities to believe a faculty member was responsible.
The Madonna Constantine hate crime has caused an uproar at Columbia University as the students put on a huge rally to show support for the professor. Madonna Constantine held a press conference on Wednesday stating that she was taking this issue very seriously and that she was not backing down. Some students have said that the school has had struggles with racial tension and that this was most likely a result of that tension.
