Cleveland Ohio SuccessTech High School Shooting

The Cleveland Ohio SuccessTech High School shooting took place on Wednesday October 10, 2007. The 14 year old gunman entered the school with a gun in each hand and started firing. The gunman wounded four people before he was killed. It has not yet been determined whether the 14 year old gun from SuccessTech High School took his own life or was shot by police.
The victims of the school shooting were two teachers and 3 students. The two teachers 57 and 42 years of age are currently in a “slightly elevated” condition at the hospital as their injuries were more serious than the 3 students. The students that were injured included a 14 year old male and female and a 17 year old male. The status of the two male students is reported as stable which is a good sign then will make it through this ordeal. The female student had hurt her knee in the chaos and it is not believed that she was taken to the hospital.
Some of the witnesses at the Cleveland Ohio SuccessTech High School shooting stated that they believed the gunman was angry about being suspended at the beginning of the week for fighting. There were students that had provided some details as to what took place inside the school when the gunman started shooting. They said that the principal of the school announced “code blue” over the schools intercom system and at that point students tried to take cover in places such as closets not knowing what would happen next.
Cleveland Ohio SuccessTech High School is a specialty school that you have to be accepted to the school to attend. It is not a large school and is based around a problem based technology curriculum with some funding coming from Microsoft. Some parents have stated that the school was more students than it could hold and has had problems with security in the past.
It looks as though those that were wounded with pull through based on there current conditions. We will update you when further information has been released as to how the 14 year old gunman died at the Cleveland Ohio SuccessTech High School Shooting.
