This death is a sad turn of events and hopefully will not bring a bad reputation to the Chicago Marathon. We will see next year how many people turn out to run the race. I think that will give us a good idea as to the effect it will have.
Out of the 300 plus people that were taken to the hospital yesterday as a result of the marathon there a two people that are still in critical condition. Lets hope these two make it so they do not have to add to the already tragic news.

I heard about this in the news. That’s pretty sad. I didn’t realize it was that hot yesterday.
Yes it is tragic. I had no idea it was that hot on Sunday either. That is especially unusual in Chicago for this time of year as well. I saw a report last night stating that they ran out of water for the runners because people were using tons of cups of water to cool themselves rather than for drinking. I thought that was pretty interesting.
